Ethical Story Spotlight: Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs

Young people need safe places to belong, opportunities to try new things, and caring mentors. I want to give a big shout out to Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs for telling ethical and powerful stories about their members.

It’s no secret that OBGC is one of my favourite organizations. I recently had the privilege of getting to know Jessica, a valued member of the staff team. To help and inspire others, Jessica graciously agreed to share how growing up with Boys and Girls Clubs made a difference in her life. The video of Jessica’s Story is a great example of working with informed and ongoing consent, using a storyboard for planning, and dedicated teamwork. I can’t take any credit for this excellent video, but I’m very proud of Jessica and the staff who put it together.
